James solved a puzzle? He might just be the best player ever.

I was shocked when James quickly solved the reward challenge puzzle on this week's Survivor. I mean, I know he's a great player: strong, hard working, understands basic Survivor strategies like keeping a strong alliance together. But to add on top of that puzzle-solver, he just might be too good to be true. I think the best part of it was that he was as shocked as the entire audience that he got the puzzle right. "'Triumphant'? Is that a word?" I love it.

Fortunately he also displayed some negative qualities in this past episode that will hopefully protect me from getting too attached. Namely, the rudeness he exhibited toward whatsherface. I think that, combined with the fact that he couldn't influence his way out of a paper bag, are the two chinks in his armor. But for now, with Yau-man out of the way, the path is clear for James to show just how smart his is (and use all that physics he's learned while digging graves).
